BOILING -
Boiling is the quick and easy way to purify water. Bring to a rolling boil and mainained for 10 minutes is more then enough to distroy pathogens typically present in water.. CAUTION : It may take longer to kill some viruses and bacterial endospores which is why hospitals steralize using hot steam preshure systems.
SOLAR UTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION
Solar disinfection uses ultraviolet light from the sun to purify water. UV is a wavelength primarly made from the sun it can be made by machines as well. Solar disinfecting is effective at killing pathogens including cholera thyphoid, giardia and poilio (it will not remove any chemicals)
Six hours of bright sun wil disinfect the water in the bottles.
On cloudy days 2 days back to back may be needed. The water placed in the Disinefectir must be clear
you can put them on a tin sheet of coorgated water . Water that is kept that 122 degrees Fahrenheit only requires one hour of UV exposure to be free of most pathogens. Painting the metel or back side of the bottles black will help.
